How to remove the ink from the marble

Marble is an expensive stone used on many counters, tables and floors, where ink can easily come into contact with the marble surface. Anything from a broken ink pen to a leaking ink cartridge can leave an ink stain on the marble surface. By acting quickly, however, you can remove the ink stain before it has a chance to set in, restoring the marble to its original condition. The ink removal process is an easy task that requires just a few simple household products.

You will need the following things:
1, Hydrogen peroxide or non-chlorinated bleach
2, Baking powder
3, Paper towels
4, Bowl
5, Spoon
6, Plastic wrap

Steps:
1, Saturate a paper towel in hydrogen peroxide if the marble is dark in color. If the marble has a light background, use non-chlorinated bleach instead.
2, Blot the paper towel over the stain until it is cleaned off. In some instances this will be all that is necessary to remove the stain. If the stain does not come off completely, take the next step.
3, Mix a paste by pouring baking powder into a bowl (enough to cover the stain entirely). Stir in either the hydrogen peroxide or non-chlorinated bleach until a creamy paste has formed.
4, Dampen the area of the ink stain with a wet paper towel, which will open the pores of the marble, thereby allowing the paste to absorb the stain more easily.
5, Apply a thick layer of the paste over the stain, then cover with plastic wrap.
6, Rinse the bowl you used to create the paste, and place it upside down over the stain to hold the plastic wrap in place.
7, Let the paste sit for a few hours, or until it has dried fully. Then remove the plastic wrap and wipe away the dried paste with a wet paper towel. If any ink stain remains, repeat this process.
